How often have you booked a “Table for One”? How often have you given time to yourself? Read this book and you would want to immediately book a “Table for one“

Book Review : Table for One

Blurb

Taara Maheshwari, a single woman in her thirties and a successful lawyer, is tough from outside but a die heart fan of romantic movies from inside. She grew up seeking her “happily ever after’ but amid various heartbreaks andculture of modern age short term relationships, her believe in “true connections” got replaced by the comfort of being “emotionally disconnected.” After she turned 31, her parents persuaded her into meeting a guy for marriage who sounded just perfect for her. Acting on impulse, she told her parents that she would meet him only if they let her go on a trip to Europe. As Taara went on to explore the world, she experienced what actually happens when a single Indian girl travels to Europe all by herself. Is it only about dancing, singing or falling in love? What happens after you fall in love? Does love conquer all? Only her story would tell.

About the Author – Neha Bindal

During her sabbatical of one year, she spent most of her time reflecting upon what she wanted from her life. She started a short story blog and slowly started sharing her stories with close friends who pushed her to make the blog public.

Neha is also an avid traveler and has done solo trips across Europe and different parts of India. Her love for travel inspired her to write a book.

Till date, she has posted almost forty stories on her blog and has also completed her first book called, “Table for One”. She considered her writing career as a call which destiny made for her.

My Views of the Book

I was most interested in buying this book, Table for One, due to the story line. I am always inspired by stories which show independent strong woman. When I saw the book cover, I was even more excited because of the whole travel theme. I love travelling. I love anything which takes me to different places. So I just couldn’t resist buying this book.

Tara is the main protagonist of the story and is so close to real and relatable person. The book is about Taara’s journey to realize self-love is an important aspect of life. As it is I love stories about independent woman, reading this one made me feel so close to her.  So many times I could really feel what she could have felt.

I loved the Free spirited Tara. Many times while reading the story I could see myself in that place.

The story shows how an insecure self-doubting personality can completely transform into a secure strong independent individual. That’s what travel does to you.

If you love travelling, if you love independence, if you love reading stories about woman this is a book you should definitely give this one a read!

Not only I find the book cover impressive, but also love the title. Seems like a perfect book to curl up with a glass of red wine on a Saturday evening. And I love the name Taara of the protagonist, because the protagonist of my book is also called Tara. There is something fiercely bold and passionately dreamy about this name.

The book cover looked very interesting. Also, the plot about a lone woman travelling by herself was intriguing. A very different tale where the show-don’t-tell rule has not been used at all. I love travelling. I love stories for the same reason. They take me to different places, allow me to be different people. This book is apparently about Taara’s journey to realize that self-love is an important aspect of life.

Thank you for sharing this review. This seems to be an interesting read, especially for strong minded independent women like you and me ?
What better way than to combine arm chair travel and fiction for a lazy weekend.
Adding it to my TBR list.

This is indeed a book about a strong woman. I was reading how restaurants have tried including tables for one in their beautiful corners, accommodating all kinds of guests.
