Mistakes are part and parcel of every human being, mistakes are the things that will make a person more human. Mistakes are very common and only when you make mistakes you will learn something really strong and bold. Forgive yourself for your Mistakes because every mistake you make in life is progress in our learning curve of life. You might have come across the term unforgivable mistakes, but let me tell you, there is no such thing called as “unforgivable mistake”.
F – Forgive Your Mistakes
When a person does something wrong or something not very nice without a bad intention is called a mistake. These mistakes are bound to be forgiven. We might have heard people asking everyone to forgive others for the mistakes they have committed. Forgiving others’ mistakes have been glorified and has been given a lot of importance than anything else. But what is more important is forgiving oneself for their own mistakes and this is what is being neglected by humankind for so long.
We all keep blaming and punishing ourselves for the mistakes that we have made eons ago. However, the real self-love is, when you get hold of the situation, understand your mistake, learn from it and try not to commit the same mistake again.
Why Forgiving yourself is Important
When you hold on to the mistake that you have committed for so long, it means you are not growing as a person because this will make you tied to your past forever and never let you move on. In order to move on and start afresh, you need to forgive yourself. When you forgive yourself, you will let go of the anger, shame, guilt and sadness that has become a part of your personality. And as a result, you will be able to move forward with your life. Life is too beautiful and it is an absolute miracle, you do not deserve to miss out on it because of the mistakes you committed unknowingly.
You can easily forgive others but forgiving yourself seems to be really hard because forgiving oneself is indeed hard. But that cannot be the reason for you to stay in the wrath of your past. What is making this forgiving process a lot more difficult is self-deception. Leave all that behind because here we have certain ways to make this forgiving yourself process a lot easier.
Simple ways to forgive yourself
- First of all, come to terms with yourself. Acknowledge your mistakes and instead of stuffing your feelings within yourself, vocalize and acknowledge them.
- Start showing a bit of compassion to yourself. If you feel like it is too much for you to handle, hide it within yourself for some time and then get back to it later.
- Talk with yourself, be your own critic. Avoid negativity and try to move on.
- If you still feel like it is impossible, seek help from others. Because finding inner peace with yourself is way too important than anything else.
Forgive yourself for your mistakes and move on because your forgiveness is more important to you than any other person’s.
