I wanted to do a special post for my beginner friends who are just discovering their love for makeup. So here it is. ? I would not say I am a pro at makeup now, but I do know a handful of stuff to write about it ?.

As a beginner, sometimes it gets really tricky to have lipsticks that can match your mood and the need of occasion but still not be heavy on your pocket. Like a day out with your friends, a coffee date, daily office week or one grand wedding that you have been waiting to attend, we really need some go to lipstick shades that are useful and handy when you need them. 1) COLORBAR VELVET MATTE LIPSTICK

Every girl needs a red lipstick, because even on a gloomy day there is always going to be a red lipstick that can brighten up your day.

Hence, the first shade that is a must have for a beginner is a red lipstick. I know applying a red lip is not that quick and easy. But the lipstick I am talking about is just a holy grail product for me. That is the Colorbar Velvet Matte lipstick in the shade All fired up.

This is an amazing shade and suits all skin tones. It is very pigmented and glides on easily, thus, giving a soft matte look to your lips (sometimes you just don’t want the complete matte lips) without drying them out. 2) 2000 KISSES BY DIANA OF LONDON

Having a nude lip shade is equally important as it is to have a red lipstick. A lot of times we just cannot find a perfect nude lip colour that compliments our skin tone.

If you are fair to medium skin toned beauty..then Hazelnut 08 from 2000 KISSES BY DIANA OF LONDON can be a perfect nude for you. This is actually a liquid lipstick which dries out completely matte (Well!! Sometimes we do need complete matte lips ). It is very opaque and doesn’t make your lips looks uneven or patchy. This is a perfect shade for that coffee date girls!!!!!I absolutely wear it everyday and it is my go to lip colour anyday.

3)MAYBELLINE COLOUR SENSATIONAL LIP GRADATION

This is fairly a new launch. Maybelline came out with this lipgradation crayon lipstick with a smudger at the back. The colour I picked up, is in the shade Orange 1. Now, although the shade is named orange its not exactly an orange lipstick. Its more of a bright scarlet red. A bright red lipstick is certainly beautiful in its own way. This is such a vibrant and fun colour to wear on any day. It is an all-rounder. You can apply it even if you are wearing a basic t-shirt and jeans and this will instantly make you look like million bucks. The texture is smooth, it gives you a lipstick like matte finish. Has no smell to it and the packaging is cute too. Again a must have.

4) Lakme 9 TO 5 MATTE LIPSTICK

This is a beautiful shade… I totally dig this colour. The shade is Peony goal from 9 to 5 range by Lakme. This is a stunning mauve shade with little gold shimmer particles in it. And I find it a perfect fit for everyday office use and an amazing shade to wear with your Indian outfits. It makes your skin look more radiant and glowy. This looks good on almost all Indian skin tones. The texture is buttery soft, gives you good colour pay-off and settles to a soft matte look. 

5)COLORBAR VELVET MATTE LIPSTICK

You might be thinking again the same range, but frankly I am the kind of girl who will not think rationally when it comes to the colour choice a brand has to offer is from the same range. I was looking for a simple pink colour lipstick for myself. like not hot pink or pink with magenta undertones or not a blue based pink, but just a simple pink lipstick. And I found Colorbar velvet matte lipstick in shade Thrilling Pink. I love this colour. It is an everyday beautiful pink which makes you look put together. The texture is same like All fired up. Soft matte with good colour pay off. A simple pink lipstick is a must for beginners according to me and this just fits the role.

These are all my Top 5 lipstick shades that any makeup lover should have. It certainly doesn’t mean you should have exact same products. This is just to share with you the shades I think are must- haves and makes your everyday life easier.

Again, you can wear a red lipstick on a wedding, coffee date, day out with friends or at your workplace, everyone should do or wear anything and everything that makes them feel happy and beautiful, because for me nothing is more sexier than a women who loves herself and is confident in her own skin.❤
